Joined Lancashire county fire brigade February 1979, serving for 32 years on operational duties, various roles, retired leading incident command development. John formed Simtrainer UK 2011 on retirement, a SFJ accredited training provider. He is an experienced trainer, tutor and adviser on incident management and response, working with 70 airport fire and rescue services and other departments, across the UK and internationally. John is passionate about saving lives through awareness being a cancer survivor himself and says he still enjoys being on fire stations, 46 years and counting.
